Welcome to SE Wellbeing. My name is Susan and I am delighted that you have taken the time to visit this site. Chances are that you are looking for a way out of emotional problems. You've taken that first step by searching online for a therapist who can help you; perhaps I am that therapist?
Therapy was not my original chosen career. In truth I spent many years searching for my "thing", for what I wanted to be when I grew up. A career in HR showed me that I thrive when working with people to help them achieve their goals and I began to look into a more personal way of working like this.
I found Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, specifically Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy (a branch of CBT) and I was hooked. In a one-to-one setting I can use this learning to help you change your unhelpful and emotionally unhealthy habits. Through challenging your deeply held beliefs, you can begin to establish new thinking and behaviour. You'll understand that you have the ability to tolerate difficulties and the courage to challenge yourself successfully.
Throughout our work together I will introduce other therapeutic concepts where we agree they will enhance your treatment. This may include hypnotherapy. I will always discuss your needs and preferences with you and respect these. Your care and confidentiality are at the heart of my work.
Thank you for reading this information. If you would like to discuss treatment then please do use the contact page on this site. I look forward to hearing from you when you are ready to take the next step towards emotional wellbeing.
"I have learnt better coping strategies to manage various situations and my feelings around them. I and my family have already felt the benefits following the CBT course."
"When I was offered counselling I went to see if it could or would help me and it has; with counselling I am on the mend and getting my life back."
